Medicines from the Land (MFTL) is run by Hunter Cascagnette a nonbinary, trans, multidisciplinary artist and herbal medicine practitioner of mixed Scottish, English, French Settler and Georgian Bay Métis (Métis-Anishinaabe) ancestry based on Mnidoo Mnising, Manitoulin Island, Ontario.

Hunter does various aspects of hide tanning, growing, harvesting, medicine making and antler work for the business with their hound dog Bucky / Bashkwegin.
Hunter is trained in western clinical herbalism. Their herbal care is rooted in forever deepening relationships and reciprocity with plant medicines and ancestors.

MFTL herbal products are made from homegrown or sustainably wild crafted plants harvested according to the health of local ecosystems. Other than the odd variety, MFTL does not outsource plants. The plants used in products are freshly harvested by Hunter to offer you potent, local herbal medicines made in relationship.
Antler is naturally shed and locally sourced. The antler jewelry pieces are cut, sanded, buffed, drilled and assembled carefully by hand.
